My name is Phil Zimmerman. I was born in Spokane, WA and am a lifetime resident of the Inland Northwest. After graduating from Valley Christian School in the Spokane Valley, I pursued a degree in photography and a career as a portrait and commercial photographer. I returned to college a few years later to pursue a few other degrees and endorsements from Eastern Washington University. I currently teach History and Photography classes here at Timberlake.
My teaching career began in Medical Lake High School, then to Lakeland High for a few years. In 1998 I was selected to help open the district’s new Junior/Senior high school, and have been part of the great staff here at Timberlake since that opening day fifteen years ago.
History and photography are interests of mine. As a husband and father of two young boys, the family is involved in church activities along enjoying the great outdoor recreation opportunities: skiing in the winter months and camping and enjoying the lakes in the summer. I also collect and restore old bicycles and enjoy both off and on road motorcycling.
